Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.
The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.
The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.
One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/
There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.
Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.
Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.
All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.
If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.
Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.
Well this totally bites! I don't suppose there is a way to migrate the board and members over to the Sixth Division or even OSW, sort of fall in line with the other boards as a subset or something. I know the point of the board was to maintain integrity of certain eras but with a shrinking...
Belated posting here of photos from some the recent local events that invited the AZ Joeheads to put on a display of vehicles and figures. We did our annual display at the AHMTA (AZ Historical Military Transport Association) vehicle show at the Falcon Field Air Museum in Mesa in March. We also...
The AZ Joeheads had a meeting last weekend, our first of 2018, and there was a diverse variety of figures from the group members as well as showcasing some of the vehicles from Scott Carter's recent visit. We had a heavily customized Dragon Jeep to represent a British 1st Para Airborne jeep at...
Superb work, this is a beautiful piece. Excellent paint scheme and weathering, love the markings too. The Nashorn is really a nice vehicle, definitely a nice kit.

his past weekend was the 13th Weekend of Scott Carter (WOSC XIII), and once again we spent 3 days in a garage watching paint dry the fun way. Scott Carter brought his awesome painting talents to the AZ...
This is the 12th time we have had Scott Carter grace us with his time and talents and he did not disappoint.# We had a Taowan metal German SdKfz 234 Puma, a DiD German Zundapp motorcycle and sidecar combo, a Vietnam era LOACH, or Hughes OH-6 Cayuse, built from a 21st Century Littlebird, and...
Just wanted to post pics of the last AZ Joeheads meeting we had on 03 Dec 16 at Jeff's garage (Geppetto Joe). Jeff's was showing us his rebuilt Viper Sherman converted into a Firefly model. The pics barely do it justice, it really was a nice piece to see in person, he did a great job...
You have to use a newer model series Explore, it doesn't need cartridges, it has an online design program ( Cricut Design Space) and you can use your own photos / graphics / fonts to make your own stencils etc.

Yes, the figures and other details will be added, this is just the completion of the major building / reworking /painting stages. We will post pics as they are finished.
Last weekend the AZ Joeheads had our 11th visit from Scott Carter. Each Weekend of Scott Carter (WOSC) we have 3 or 4 vehicles prepped for Scott to do his painting and weathering magic. For WOSC XI we had some real firsts for Scott to work on. Our new member from Tucson, Kevin, had his...
The AZ Joeheads 1/6th scale hobby group were invited to do a diorama for the Brewer Brothers Show at the U.S.S. Iowa 18 Sep 16. We had been working on this diorama for the past 3 months, with the principal design and building done by Alex. Here are links to the 130+ pics and video of the...
