• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

Along with my ARVN ranger, figured maybe I could take some pics of my MACV SOG WIP figure. Still gathering parts at the moment so hes missing his stabo rig among other things. I always like to see if I can make my figures unique and set them apart from figures people usually make of the...

    ARVN Ranger

Well, I originally wanted to make him from around the time of the Tet Offensive, but haven't gotten around to repainting my 3-prong so I took these shots with the "Bird Cage" m16. It was said that before the Tet Offensive many of the ARVN ranger units were of varying quality mostly due to...

    AN/PPN-2 Pathfinder beacon transmitter

I was wondering a couple things... 1) Has anyone ever tried to recreate this accurately? I've gotten a hold of one of the G.I. Joe made Beacons and I'm looking to mod it into something a bit more accurate as it currently has a cheesy hand lamp attached to it :s 2) From what it looks like the...

101st Airborne engineer, D+3 Douve River Bridge

little bit of history: In the days after D-day, members of the 326th Airborne Engineers Demolition section destroyed 2 small bridges that crossed over the Douve River. Northeast of Carentan they held another bridge wired to blow. For several days the Germans made attempts to cross the bridge...
