• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

Robin Williams 1/6 Tiger I sells for $875!

I guess I was one of the lucky ones who actually got their Tiger 1 tank delivered from Al Franco. I lived within 45 minutes of him and he did upgrades on the tank as his skills improved. At the time there were not many guys out there who could deliver a Tiger 1 in somewhat decent...

    3Q Brad Pitt head sculpt

I haven't posted in quite some time, but like most of you I enjoyed the movie FURY. I saw the sculpt online and took a chance on ordering it. It came relatively fast and was prepainted. Overall its not a bad looking likeness of "wardaddy," although the scars on the sculpt could have been a bit...

    Dragon - Wardaddy figure?

Sculpt looks great.....has anyone ordered this and can relate whether the quality is as good as in the pictures? Also, if the headsculpt comes painted or if it is just an unpainted resin head. thanks-Pete

    DML Sherman idler repairs?

Re: DML repairs Mine popped off too. Mine is a static display also so I just used a styrene modelers glue overnight. Seems fine to me. I am sure any epoxy or super glue will also do the trick since as a static display it won't get much abuse-Pete

    .50cal MG Mount DML Sherman

I knew you could do it! May not be able to find the exact color for the pintle....just try to blend it by mixing similar colors. It is a small piece, so weathering the pintle a little with the rest of the cupola should make it blend in. Good luck-Pete

Nice pics. I particularly like the way you put the Tiger into perspective with the surrounding field. It should look great with the animatronic figs when you get them. I have one on order too for my Tiger. Pete

    Bogie and Lulubelle reunited

Appreciate the compliments and yes that is one of Tim's (plasticpanzers) kits. It is a nice kit but alot of additional fabrication is needed to make it a bit more realistic. But that is the fun part, doing the research and getting ideas from the experts here on this forum . I still have some...
