• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

    The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

    The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

     

    One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

    There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

    Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
    Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

     

    Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

    All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

I just got some 1/6 scale custom made C-rat boxes from the eBay seller afxkwx353. They are excellent - just like the real thing. He also makes K-rats, MRE's, medical supplies, and general supplies.

He doesn't have any other items listed at the moment, but if you are looking for something like that you should look for his stuff first. He was easy to deal with, shipped promptly, and the C-rat reproductions were first rate.
 
I picked up some of those as well. And they are worth the price. I will be grabbing up a couple more.

Someday I want to do a supply clerk dio - (those boys are near and dear to my heart) - I'd eventually like to buy a lot of his stuff, but one project at a time (or at least no more that 15 projects at a time - I like to stay focused. 8-) ).

Leatherneck, the guy who is makeing and selling these on ebay is his name Dale Guyer or Guyver? He was at WOH last year and had a booth next to mine. We have the 1/6 WWII Deuce Trucks.

Do you have contact info for him? He left with two of our trucks and never paid me for them. $800.00. Any help would be appreciated and a reward for the help.

I just found a dozen or so auctions on e-bay and I confirmed there that the address is one in the same for Mr. Dale Guyer. It's a ashamed that I have to track him down to get my money. He sent an e-mail back in July saying that he would make it right. Never heard from him again. :-(

Very dissapointing!
