I've seen photos of 90th ID soldiers with a small red "TO", matching the patch, painted on the upper front of the M1 steel helmet.
My question is, how common was this in the division? Was it limited to certain regiments, or was it a division-wide practice as was in the 1st, 28th, or 29th infantry divisions?
