question about Newline M36 tunic

Hey everybody,
I have a question for all. Will the newline miniatures German m36 tunic work for an officer, with the proper insignia?

Yes an enlisted m36 tunic would work for an officer with officers insignia applied. Officers could draw a tunic form stores and apply his insignia to it for field use. This was quite common. Since officers had to purchase their uniforms they would use an em's tunic for the field and save their private purchase uniform for walking out dress etc. Some would also have french cuffs added to the em tunic as well. I plan on doing this with one of my em tunics but without the french cuffs

Thanks for the info Pzrwest. The reason I asked was because I bought a Cyber Hobby Stauffenberg fig, and I wanted a tunic that looks better than the one he came with. The Newline one is great because it has functioning buttons and pockets. I have one more question then. Who makes the best German insignia?

I like Nomad's insignia, go here to see them http://onesixthnet.yuku.com/topic/5546 . I wanted better tabs for my panzerr figure and ordered a pair from him they are fantastic. But as for who makes the best that I can't say maybe some of the other guys who have been around 1/6th longer can guide you on this

Thanks again, Pzrwest, you saved me a lot of trouble looking for good insignia. NOMAD's insignia look great, so I am going to definitely go with him :!:
