Browning M1 and M2 machine gun shipping crates

Looking for information and dimensional data for the shipping crates used for the Browning M1 30 cal and M2 50 cal machine guns. From the limited photos I've found looks to be one unit per crate and includes the gun, tripod and one ammo can. Haven't found any images that are clear enough to read all of the text stamped on the crates. For the M2, the crates appear to have hinges on one side and latches on the other, although it may not be hinges and instead have latches on the long sides.

Any additional info would be appreciated.

Re: Browning M1 and M2 machine gun shipping crates

Leonard,

Dennis (thetoysurgeon) made a run of .30 cal. transit crates:

I own two - one GMC and one Rock Island Armory. They are amazing.

Contact him for more information. He has a Facebook page as well:

Hope that helps!
