VK-7001 "Lowe" or "Tiger Maus"

Hello all, I recently got one of the posters from APG which is the Armored Vehicles Past to Present, which has everything on it from 1915 till present. On the poster it shows the VK-7001 "Lowe" or "Tiger Maus", those are the exact words on the poster. Ive searched all my books, which I have the Standard Catalog of German Military Vehicles. I cant find any information on this anywhere. I did do a google search, but only 1 link popped up that matched the picture on the poster, all of the others led me to the "Maus". Does anyone have any other information on this tank or tell me a book that would have this? Im guessing it must a experimental tank or something.

Thanks guys,
Brad

According to the book "Encyclopedia of German Tanks of WWII", Page 13, Plate #36, it shows a wooden model of the VK7001. It goes on to explain that this was a Krupp project to replace the Tiger II. This was to use Tiger II componets and the engine was to be in the front.

I have to guess that this tank never left the drawing board other than a wooden model shown.

There is also some technical information and specs in the book "German Armor Rarities" by Michael Sowodny but I don't have the time to type it all out right now. Maybe in a couple days...

You can still get the book. Amazon.com has a bunch listed. A must have for your library.
