DFS 230 Glider

Hi again everyone. During this nice weather I finally got a chance to take some pics of my DFS 230 glider which I made during the winter months. The glider is completely made from Styrene. For the cockpit instruments I photocopied the real ones and reduced them to 1/6th scale. The MG15 is from Dragon.

Outstanding! Great glider, and great FJ's - I really like your choice of HS.

Re: DFS 230 Glider

A really impressive set up. The glider is great, the troops are perfect and posed really well. Scratch building, non static outdoors dios, all the fun parts of this hobby.
cheers
Tim

Re: DFS 230 Glider

Great stuff! The DFS 230 is one of my favorite aircraft. Do you have more photos of the glider? Wingspan must be huge in 1/6th scale.

Horrido!

Re: DFS 230 Glider

Thank you for your kind comments however, I do not have other pics of the glider. What you see here in this Dio looks like a full DFS 230 . I only built 70% of the aircraft. There is no tail section and 40% of the wings are not there. I only built enough of the craft so that I could use it in a diorama. In 1/6th scale the wing span would be over nine feet long making it very hard to store. In the future I might build the rest of the Glider.

Re: DFS 230 Glider

I had a question if you made tail and full wing or not. And I thought Canadian home was bigger than my home.

Re: DFS 230 Glider

Amazing Dave! Fantastic job!

Your photos are superb! I love the shots and angles of the FJs getting out of the glider. Makes me want to get back into Cretan FJs again!
