WISH LIST

current for the M3 ATG and different dreams

can we not make a official SAG wish list for large gear
Vehicles /cannons
ONLY REALISTIC WISHES
a russian GAZ 67 would be fine but more interrest is
by US/Brit and German gear.
with exotic wishes can DML not make profit.
maximum sizeodge WC
and send the three winner wishes directly to DML.

i think the admins can make a poll list with 10 or 15
large wish items.
possibly in cooperation with the sixth division for more enforce.

with fortune can this help us and DML and
DML can see the interest from us for the DML products
AND HIS FUTURE.

On the British / Commonwealth front I'd wish for a 25-pounder, but more realistically I'd settle for a 3 inch mortar.

1. British 6 pdr gun
2. Norton motorcycle (frankly I'd be happy with any British motorcycle of WWII vintage ie Norton, Triumph, BSA)

As a side note, neither DML or any other manufacturer has ever made any British gun or motorcycle, Maybe we should put some pressure on Modeller's Loft, who partmer with DiD for their "exclusives".

I'd sure like to see some in-scale spokes on somebody's motorcycle (or even on a bike).

If we are talking kits that I would absolutely buy I'd be down for a Dodge Weapons carrier. In a kit form like the kuble or the schwimmer I could justify paying at least a couple of hundred dollars for it . I have no doubt DML could pull it off, but it would not come cheap.
I would also jump at an M29 Weasel. That would be a fun little kit to build.
With this one all the work and most of the parts are in the running gear. A kit would still be more than a kettenkrad or a kubel. But I think DML could pull this one off and make it affordable. My 2 cents

Some of these have been produced before. BUT I wish to them as general releases and in 1/6th scale.

As kits I'd to see the following:

Jeep
Universal Carrier
BMW R75 or Zundapp KS750 w/sidecars
GPA amphibian

Fully built or a kits:

M1938 DSHK
M1910/31/41 Maxim Sokolov
ROKS-3 Flamethrower
Hotchkiss MG
M1938 120mm motor with carriage.
M1937 82mm motor
PTRS AT rifle

Servus Bergkameraden,

Here are my mountain item wishes:

Gebirgsgeschutz 36...designed to be towed by the Kettenkrad and can be broken down into mule pack loads as well as man pack loads:

The l.Geb.I.G.18...since DML already makes the standard l.I.G.18 all they need to do is make the mountain split trail version with wooden wheels (they make those too):

The Gebirgskanone 15...one of the most widely used and best European mountain guns....from WWI through WWII by Austrian, Italian, German, Bulgarian, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, and Turkish armies:

A set of the different versions of Akjas (pull sleds):

A packsaddle with a set of the Gebirgs-Sanitäts-Kasten:

The small field wagon:

The 2cm Flak 30 or the Gebirgs-Flak:

And finally the dual MG-34 Reindeer AA mount:

Berg Heil!

I second the suggestions of the kit of the US M3 halftrack, the kit of the US jeep trailer, and the kit of the BMW with sidecar. For small arms, I would like to see a K-98 with the ZF-41 scope and scope can.

I really don't have a wish list except for the two major 1/6th manufactures to get their heads out of their butts and get back on track.

As far as a M3 Half Track Randy Killen's is amazing and I think it a great deal at under $700.00. I don't think your going to find one better.

I welcome anything new as long as it's good!

I was hoping Randy would offer a kit consisting of the frame, running gear, tracks, front wheels, and fenders for those of us that either don't have the funds to buy the full kit and can build a basic body from styrene. I wonder what a kit like that would cost? I would actually prefer a styrene body, easier to modify.

I prefer styrene over all myself but from what I have seen and the guys who have built the BRA kits I have asked all say they are great kits. I probably am the most frugal collector out there and always want to spend less but I think Randy's kits are a good value for the money for what you get. Of course if someone came out with a plastic kit for half that I would not complain unless it was a very bad kit! LOL

I'll keep my wish list simple, I want a dual barrel carrier for my MG34 team, a common item yet to be produced in 1/6th....and oh yeah, the BMW and Zundapp combo kits would be killer

I think you guys mis-read my comments about Mr. Killen's halftrack.

By offering sub-assembly kits like the one I described it may increase his potential for sales and hopefully drive DOWN the cost of his kit, or at least help him break even on the jigs and tooling he had to make in order to produce what he did. Shipping would be lower for sure!

The other advantage is that there would be more 1/6 halftracks roaming backyards everywhere!!! Think of it as if the only way you could get parts for figures was if dealers only offered complete boxed items.

I wish him all the success in the world, but I know for a fact that a lot of people have a ceiling when it comes to spending $$$ on their hobby. If he planned on selling 50 units and has done so then great, but if he could sell another 200 wouldn't that be even better?

Of course if the sub-kit I mentioned was still over people's spending limits it wouldn't help a thing and may even hurt his efforts. I mean, look at the 21C M5. IMO the "Blowouts" caused more $$$ problems for 21C than cured. I guess there's a fine line to all this and a good businessman will figure it out.
