Deterioration of figures

Hi collectors,

I collect action figures to date. I have many 1/6th scale action figures from company's like Hot Toys, 3R and Dragon in Dreams (DiD). I am very careful with my toys and make sure that they are never in direct sunlight.

I wonder if there are cases known here where, for example, the leather starts to crumble or the rubber starts to tear off the figures?
I know that there are already a few cases of this 'disease' in figures from Hot Toys.

Thanks,
Niels
