• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

I would really like them to re-release some of their harder to find Cyber Hobby Exclusives:
  • Pack Animals: Mules, Donkeys, Horses
    Pack Baskets or Wagons
    Ammunition Sets
    Fence / Telephone Poles
    Signage
    Fuel Drums/cans
    Vehicle Maintenance Sets

Panzer I would be great

a Mule for the Vietnam era stuff, a small vehicle easy to do.
Allied 57 mm anti tank gun.
Smaller Horch wheeled vehicle
A Wespe along with a regular 105 German field piece

Wondering what the are going to do?

Remember when Cyber Hobby was just for short run or higher end exclusives? And DML was for general releases? This is just the same clear out of old stock CH has been doing already, just now under the DML banner. Kind of disappointing, but not surprising so far.

Was hoping for newer releases or re-issues. Not clearing out old stock. Heck you can still find a bunch of loose parts for Dragon Figures that they sold off wholesale on eBay. With that said this will help newer members just getting into the hobby although. For the rest of us, not so much.

I know this is last years, but heck.:D

How about a nice 88 MM, or a Panzer III, T-34 /85 would open my wallet.

Even if I had to have the wife work another job.:!::rock::brit_wink::D;)

Cheers

Jeff

Remember when we waited with baited breath both here and the 6 Division for CH to release there newest figure. Sitting by your PC till midnight EST for the sale to start. There were times I waited an hour to get to the order page. Those were the days my friends, we thought they'd never end.

Didn't realize then how good we had it back then. Just a short wait from the first sale for parts to be available on War Toys and other sites.

Sure miss the yearly Sacramento Joe shows. They ended way before Covid hit the scene.
