• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

Dragon PzII C prebuilt, wondering about the insignia...

Brigade Commander
I was looking at images of the DAK prebuilt PzII lets call it C.(item # 71455)
On the side of the turret, there is a red rune... an inverted Y with an extended center line going down.
Anyone know what this is? Is it an attempt at the 15th Pz Div insignia with the base of the triangle missing?
Been looking around and I can't find that particular insignia in my references.
TIA

E

IMO the insignia in question would be the DML attempt at the 15th Pz Div

Randy...if you follow YAS's link to the 15th it takes you right to that tactical marking. Identical to the one you posted

An interesting question. I have been looking through most of my Afrika Korps books for the marking without the complete unit marking (no line at the bottom). Also for any photo of a panzer II or any other tank with the 4th company markings. To see what division markings where used.

I have had no luck yet in identifying the marking your asking about. Maybe it was that company's, battalion individual style of using that marking. But we can't find any proof.

I'll keep looking, hopefully find an answer. Even thought of contacting Dragon Care on the Dragon site and ask them what reference was used to determine the decals/markings for the Panzer II.

I purchased several of the kits. What is interesting is on the instructions for the kit version the decal markings are listed as from an unknown unit.

Thanks for the input. It probably is a mstake, but I had never heard it mentioned in the forums. A careless mstake for sure.
