Time for a break!

At Saint-Sauveur-le-Viconte, a paratrooper from the 82nd Airborne Division armed with the M1A1 folding stock carbine. Note the M-1910 shovel with shortened handle and the parachute first aid pocket tied to his jump boot. The flag has been stitched onto a piece of cloth before being sewn onto the sleeve.

Very nice, it's good to see old Danny back in use. I always liked the headsculpt, it looks a lot like Kirk Douglas.

Pretty cool. Love seeing the human side of the hobby like this. Make me think that we take the easy and simple things in life like reading the paper for granted. Thanks for sharing. SHEP

Fine work, and the base sets everything off very well-

very nice rendition of an unusual photgraph.

Super attention to detail, I like it very much.

Cheers,
Peter.

I just have to say that this latest dio base of yours is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!
I've always admired this photo...the 'Histoire and Collections' reference on D-Day US Paratroopers shows it to good advantage and your work on the backdrop/base REALLY captures, in every detail, in every way, the 'real deal'!
(I showed this post to my Sweetheart and her first response was "WOW!..YOU have to make a base like THAT one!"...LOL...I told her I wasn't going to bother now!)
Please...keep it up...keep posting your fabulous work...and a big 'THANK YOU' for sharing it with us!

Great base, and the window dressing isn't too bad either... ;)
