Posting photos

What uploading service is generally used for uploading photos to this forum? I had used photobucket but have been having issues with it.

Re: Posting photos

I'm surely no expert on the subject. But I believe any hosting site is bound to dissapear eventually. That leaves forums like this one, with few prospects going forward. Most of the forums are gone or mostly irrelevant, being replaced by facebook.
I used to post my proyects in about 7-8 forums. Had to reduce the images, host them. Then make a word fike with the narrative and the links (in Englisch and in Spanish). Then go and post in each forum.
Now, once the images are in my pc, I go to facebook, create an album, select the images, can put the narrative in the album description and a note with each image(if that is what I want to do). Load the album, which creates a post and then "share" with the 1/6 groups I select by hitting a couple of buttons and it is done.
This ease of loading and sharing, plus not needing a hosting site doomed the hosting sites and forums as we knew them.

Re: Posting photos

I’ve been using www.phase.com for many years now, very affordable and easy to use

Re: Posting photos

I use postimages. Itís free (surprisingly, since 2004) and allows you to resize your images when uploading. An expiration can also be set. Can separate pics to folders when uploading. Outputs the usual links for copy & paste. You donít need an account to upload & share, but it helps to organize & use folders. It can be integrated into forums. I have seen that elsewhere. Not sure how itís done

https://postimages.org/

Facebook can suck my big left toe.

Re: Posting photos

On postimages this is basically the same on mobile or desktop:
>Go to "My Images".
>Select the folder ("default" if you haven't created more than one).
>Look for your image.
>Click on the share button (looks like < with dots at the points).

>This pops up a bunch of links (you want "hotlinks for forums").

>Click the clipboard icon on the right next to the link (automatically copies to your clipboard).
>In your post/reply window on this forum, paste the image in (right click & paste or Ctrl-v).
>preview your post to check it's all good.

Give it a try and let us know if it works for you.

There are also options right when you upload the pics where you can select which type of format (forum, thumbnails, websites, etc) to display and you can copy & paste for a bunch of pics uploaded at one time. This just sucks when you don't grab the right format (like tiny thumbnails) and they're never in the order you want so I don't recommend that.
