• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

It is interesting how this particular black coverall has what I call "the purple curse"!
Sadly the same dye was used on a Heer tanker, that had an unpiped wrap tunic( forget the name).
I gathered about a dozen loose sets and eventually I gave tgem all away. I even tried boiling them with heavy RIT dye(Black) and left them standing for days and it made no difference! The puzzling fact is that when you look at these pieces tgey look fine, but when you take photos of the pieces, be it with natural or artificial light, the purpke- brownish hue comes out. So that makes Kurzmaul's non piped heer cut wrap PRICELESS!

Nice looking mechanic!

A good looking figure who looks as if he has been busy at work!

E, its too bad that the same dye or fabric which was used for Whittman's coveralls wasn't used for follow on pieces.

Pictures taken with the multi-point , electric lights , opposite the window . I never use the flash, because I hate this lighting . Unfortunately , my camera distort colors in palette navy and blacks.

Yes, coverall for the tank crew . Unfortunately, I could not buy proper for the Luftwaffe . I removed the left breast pocket . In the future changes the whole coverall or will do more modifications. In my re- enacting group we have 3 very good copies luftwaffe coveralles so when I will be in Poland in May on the big re-enactment show, look what I should.
This is one of my friends in that overall. original color is navy, but the photo taken my camera and color is distorted.

One could also do one of the ferrets from the movie The Great Escape using the coveralls the ones in the movie look to be black but also could be a dark navy blue. ....

Nice impression. Lots of little details that show the "second line" status, including the use of captured foreign rifles (a Polish Wz. 29 in this impression), and the lack of sufficient numbers of ammo pouches, necessitating that they use only one.

According to my knowledge, there was not a single design coverall Luftwaffe. They were dark blue or navy, in various shades of black and colored denim work (light gray). They were with one pocket (flat or bellows), but also without pockets or even seen a photo that makes me believe that it was one that had two chest pockets. Added to this is the fact that the overalls were washed and brightened from the sun. Besides, there were suits in winter version.
