• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

WWI Brit "Walking Wounded"

After hearing the first listen of Iron Maiden's great song Passschendale, I wanted to do a WWI British guy on his way out. Its a very moving song and the lyrics can be found here LYRICS ARE HERE This fellow here probably isn't historically correct for Paschendale as his insignia is probably wrong. Nevertheless, that is what prompted this figure. Mainly all sideshow except for the BBI Enfield rifle/bayonet/bayonet scabbard. Sepia photo is for Randy... he loves em ! lol

great job!
I like the figure, i also like the topic: Iron Maiden...
you should do one for the song named: "The TROOPER"
keep me posted.

I think you've done a great job...I really like this guy, after seeing this guy I want to do one. I had a great uncle that was in WWI. Your first pic is cool but it's your detail shots that I really like. How did you do the bloody hand?

Kyle

Thanks guys. Picked this guy up on a super-deal through sideshow's site. Wanted to do a bash based on the song then found him for $15 on their site. Think he's still there for that.

B24... The bloody hand was done using barn red and black acrylic paint. kinda mixed the red with black and highlighted again with the red. Then some Future Floorwax for the wet look.

Dave... yeah, Maiden rules !
