• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

    The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

    The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

     

    One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

    There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

    Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
    Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

     

    Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

    All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

    Just got my armorpax strap buckles. Any suggestions on how to make different width cargo straps. My aim is to not glue stuff to the tank but secure it with straps.

    List of other potential parts to be made.

    All I want is new sound board, and realistic movement (slow to fast) of the tank. Smoke would be nice for the exhaust. Before you give the Benninie (something like that) reply, then let me add that I would like it to be reasonably priced and easy to install.

    M5 Tank Commo?

    Anybody got some pix of how the TC and Gunners commo wires are hooked up. I just added the Armorpax tank helmets to my guys but the instructions are lacking so far as the commo mikes and wires go.

    Thanks for the tip. I set my dremel on hig speed and it cleaned it right up. Now we will see if it holds up.

    Has anyone else had a problem attaching the MG craddle. I have tried super glue, stucco cement and soldering and still it can not support the MG and craddle. Is there some super stuff I don't know about.........?

    Good Stuff, I really appriciate the info. I may continue to mod my Stu to the HST. Looks interesting and give me a chance to show off my ammo crates, oil drums etc. My stu is modified with panzerwerks fuel caps so I need some to show the off. The HST will be my re-supply vehicle.

    2 guys in a stu turret?

    Small turret I was a tanker for almost 24 years and remember making the switch from the super roomy M60A3 to the M1A1. But it is huge compared to the Stu.
