• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

3rd incarnation of the "Haunted Tank"

First off my apologizes to the purists here on the site. I'll never build in that museum quality that I've seen here. But I've learned a lot, and just maybe someone will get something out of this. I started out with one of the 21st Century Stuarts. Just something to play with. Lasted all of...

The PANZER II chassis anti-aircraft guns

Impressive is an understatement. Looks similar to the flakpanzer 38. http://survincity.com/2010/12/anti-aircraft-self-propelled-gun-sd-kfz-140/

    A barrel

Impressive! You know the Brits used to carry similar kegs of beer on the Spitfires for the troops. Talk about a beer run.

My name is Brad, and I'm a tank freak.

Thanks guys, I recognize a few of you from some of the other sites I'm on. Anywho, like said I'm not much for outside accuracy, I'll leave that up to the professionals here, but if you need help on running gear and electronics, I'm your man. I build to run, my stuff battles and bashes, damage...

My name is Brad, and I'm a tank freak.

Well where to begin? I guess a thanks to my friend John here who led me down the path. A little bit about me, my introduction to tanks came from my Dad. He started his command in Stuarts, and moved up from there. WWII and into Korea. He got taken out by of all things, poison ivy. His driver...
