• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

    Blitz/Flak Combo-III Flak Corps Normandy

These pics represent a Blitz combo from III Flak Corps supporting the 1st SS Panzer Corps as it moves up to counterattack the landing in Normandy. It's a DeSimone Blitz built out by my buddy Lanny Linenburger. I then built out and weathered the crew to go with it. I debated about putting a...

A 'different way' to weather Uniforms..

For weathering my troops, I always came from the school of using multiple acrylic washes with a good bit of drybrushing tossed in for good measure. Just for kicks one day, I tried using some 'Elmers Walnut Wood filler' (yes, wood filler). I use it to apply 'mud' to my vehicles etc..and was...

The seller states that these...

    German Utility Trailer

I'd seen these trailers listed at 'Good Stuff to Go' a while back and decided to snag one. I have no idea if they're historically accurate, but figured that in the last months of the war, it was on big 'garage sale' anyway. It was a good base unit, just needed to be weathered some...

    mikew9717'S 250 -12th SS Div

My 250 is built to represent a 250/1 from the 12th SS Division, one of few survivors from the Falaise Gap, bearing the battle damage and weathering that would have gone with such an experience. It's painted in a 'Normandy' camo pattern. I've included both tabletop and 'in the field' pics for...

Pair of Armor Hobby 250's "In Action"

Had a blast at last week's Colorado Sixth scale meeting. Brought up my almost finished 250 and got Paul to bring in his entry for the SAG contest and we took some pics. Working to get mine ready for the contest too. Paul mounted the Armor Pax 37mm gun on his, I went with the Armor Pax mg...

    Desimone Opel Blitz/Flak 38 Combo

My buddy Lanny Linenberger surprised me at this weekend's Colorado sixth scale meeting by giving me a preview of the JDS Blitz coupled with a new dml flak on the back that he's building out for me. I can't wait to get my hands on it and will shoot some good "field shots" once it's completed.
