I'm back :) (With a question about an SS tunic)
Hi everyone,
Finally moved into my new house and settled in properly (the reason I've been gone for so long) and I'm looking forward to starting to post again (I have my son's enemy at the gates snipers to photograph) Just wondering if anyone knew where i could get my hands on an SS dress uniform like this one: ![]() ![]() I'm trying to get the pieces together to bash a ralph fiennes figure as Amon Goeth, but haven't been able to find the dress tunic anywhere ![]() Any info will be a big help ![]() Cheers, Peter. |

First off.... that is not a dress tunic it's an SS officers tunic with the green collar...probably a 1936 tunic with an altered green badge cloth collar....officers tunics also had French cuff's (turnbacks)...offhand i cannot think which figure may have come with that partuicular tunic recently..... if any in quite some time....if your going with the leather overcoat then the answer is buy an enlisted mans tunic with the green badge cloth collar and buy CVI collar insignia i cannot remember Goeth's rank...it looks as though it may have been Obersturmfuhrer or Hauptsturmfuhrer with the Totenkopf Division's collar tab....one thing your stuck with is the shoulder boards....unless you get some custom made as i doubt you will find those for either rank that easily...DML did put out a carded SS officers tunic with Riding pants and visor but that set has dissapeared long ago it also came with the SS runes collar tab so if you did find a set you would have to cover or try and remove that as it was pre-fixed to the tunic....oddly enough i have that set in my trade list on the Sixth Division so if you are feeling daring enough to do the work and you have something i need drop me a line....good luck.
Winterdan.

Hi Peter,
Just off the top of my head I would check out Did's Herbert Zeller tunic. As far as I can tell it is a match for the one in the pictures. If I can remember any more I will let you know, GJ |

Hi again Peter,
This link: http://www.toyscity.com.cn/ProductSh...?ArticleID=299 Has the tunic you want and a leather trench coat. All you need to do is find the correct insignia. Or,you might want to try this. I took a DML tunic with bottle green collar. Then I took another tunic that was the same color, cut off the bottom of the sleeve and put the cut piece on over the tunics sleeve, rolled the ends into the sleeve and glue it in place with Fabri-Tac and,PRESTO! You have french cuffs. Hope some of this helped, GJ |
