Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.
The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.
The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.
One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/
There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.
Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.
Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.
After a much needed tidy up of my workshop this morning I just couldn't face casting or fine work today. I have therefore had a much needed afternoon off and worked on the Hovercraft. Haven't done much as been taking it easy but have got a little more of the cabin done.
Work continues on the SK5 in between other stuff. Following a day at the Hovercraft Museum last week it has undergone some quite extensive rework to the back end. Helps if you look underneath one before you build it
While I wait on the metal moulds for the Limber I have had chance to do a little more on the Bell SK-5. I have cut all the outer frames for both sides and have got about 2/3's of one side assembled. It is on a Tongue and groove system like the tail section so it slides on and off easily for the time being.
Not getting a lot of time to work on the SK5 due to commercial stuff but I do a bit here and there. Work on the left sponson continues and shape is starting to come together.
Decided to do a little more to the SK5 today. So much easier with the new workshop now. not having to move things around before you start. Got the main structure of the side sponson completed and have fitted captive bolts that go the through the side of the main body for securing it.
Progress has been good today. I have added the outer plating and seam details to the right hand sponson as well as getting the puff ports and step details added. Its looking a little less flat and uninteresting now. There are around 20 billion rivets to add but I am a long way off being in a riveting mood.
Not been able to find much detail or reference on this part of the Sk5 but suspect it may be an auxiliary power unit or something similar.......anyway barring the mesh front, which requires a trip to Halfords for more aluminium repair mesh, its ready to add.
