SCR-508 radio dinensions

Can anyone tell me the dimensions for a SCR-508 radio in 1-1 or 1/6?
Don't intend to make one. Looking at the E.C.A. version. Just want to make sure my M8HMC turret bustle is large enough for one. Been searching,, but running into dead links on dimensions..
Thanks.
Al

Hey Al

The ECA SCR radio is 5.25" long x 1-7/8" deep and 2" tall.

Re: SCR-508 radio dinensions

Moved to GQ to see if we can get some more info on these radio's as I have some interest as well. Seems there are different configurations for this radio with various components that would affect dimensions if not mistaken? I have a Panzerwerks version which I believe may be the SCR-528 which is a transmitter and single receiver which I think is the one they used in the Stuarts?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCR-508

Not sure if the picture will load, but this is what I have without the drawers between the transmitter and receiver, and the stand/rack, hit me up on FB Al and I'll send ya some pic's of what I have and dimensions

Re: SCR-508 radio dinensions

As I recall the Panzerwerks version is for the Stuart tank.

From your photo I can't tell what kind of vehicle it is mounted in. Am curious to know more about the installation. Does the radio work off of the vehicle battery or a separate battery also charged by the vehicle?

thanks

Re: SCR-508 radio dinensions

Good questions Leonard, kinda looks like one of those Stuart HST conversions for towing artillery? But I have no knowledge at all about the radio' personally sans the Wiki link I shared. I got mine recently in a lot of Panzerwerks parts I purchased, thinking I might use it in my WSC as it's kinda too cool to put in a closed top vehicle
