Very sad news indeed. He was a one of a kind in that he was truly authentic. Good drill instructors have the timing and depth of material to be outstanding stand up comics. He possessed those skills. One thing I always appreciated with him is that he wasn't afraid to laugh at himself as well. (Check out the movie Saving Silverman to see what I mean.) I'm really sad to see him go.

Met The Sarge at one of the shows years ago and we talked foe quit a while. Have a great picture of Him with His arm around my neck. Sure was a suprise.

I will miss him too. I loved his shows Mail Call and others. He was one of a kind. Gunny says "There ain't nothing that a little high explosive cant fix" I remember drill sergeants like him in Army. FMJ is a true classic of the Vietnam era.
