Spring 1943, Some where along the Eastern Front
A Red Army scout group decides to take their American armored car out to do some recon. A NKVD officer decided to tag along and see how bad things were going to get in the upcoming battle. While crossing an extremely muddy field the scouts came under heavy fire. While trying to dodge round after round from a mortar, they ended up hitting a large crater from one of the mortar rounds. Stuck in the partially muddy
earth, they were immobilized. They figured they could jump out and try to
take the Germans on foot; however a 250 half track emerges from the brush. One Russian goes down as they scatter back behind their damaged vehicle for cover. The NKVD officer rallies the remaining troops. They decide to try and take out the 250 with a PTRD anti tank rifle. Two of the infantry men cover the left flank while the NKVD officer spots for the PTRD gunner. What seemed like a harmless afternoon drive is now the fight for the Motherland! and Glorious Comrade Stalin!
