• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

Looking for immersion suit.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Survival_suit ?

That would be called dry suit ? AFAIK wet suits have been made by Actionman and early GIJOES. But none has made the WWII dry suits for sale anyways.

Actually, an immersion suit is strictly a survival suit to prevent or delay, hypothermia/exposure. A "dry suit" is used for scuba diving, generally in colder temperature water.

That immersion suit would make a cool USCG figure in 1:6th. I have never seen one made in 1:6th.

good luck

Sorry,
I'm from Poland, and in polish "immersion suit" means the same as "diving suit" - sorry my fault.

I'm looking something like this:

U.S. Navy Deep Diving Suit Mark V

That would be a "diving suit" for US Navy and US Army.

HOT TOYS Copperhead. May be a bit over 1/.6 scale. Very expensive though .. if you can find one.

Hi cieciwa

These are the only versions of a Mk V suit I know of. The one on the left is mine from when I was a kid, the one on the right is a re-released version. You can find complete suits or parts on ebay for not too much money.

Would be cool if DID or someone did both the 50s-60s Mk V and the modern version of it.

Good luck.
Kind regards
Tim
