• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

Panzer IV 267/268

Falckner

Company Commander
Hi guys
This is my story off a two years
build on a R/C Blitzkrieg Armor Panzer IV.

It will never reach Tim Bowman amazing Panzer IV !!
wich I have followed with great interest those
last years. Tim´s great build inspired my so much
that I just had to buy one off the last IV´s just
before BKA closed down.

So bevare it will be a long and bumpy ride.

Yippe it arrived in early June 2010

ettstortbruntpaketmedblasnre.jpg

After a good deal off unpacking all the stuff, Tim did a exellent review off that , my mechanics long for
some action. They will for sure have there hands full off it,but at this stage they don´t know it.

Love all the "helper" shots!
Every post showing what fellow members are doing serves as a great inspiration to me, especially vehicle posts.
Looking forward to updates.
Thanks for sharing.

PzIV one of my favourites, I though was going to buy one but the timing wasn’t right and I never bought one, but then I have a few other projects in line.
Keep the pictures coming.

Falkner,

Good to hear from you again! As you know, I am glad to see a fellow BKA owmer's build efforts. Looking forward to hearing more.

Best Wishes,

Jim Fowler

Hope I keep you interested, some off the early things
you have already seen I´m afraid.
All the best from
Björn

Some month before I actualy lay my order
for the BKA IV I made sure that I could get
all the super details from Mike Stannard.

And it arrived some short time before the IV itself

With out guys like Mike/Tim/Steve "Panzerwerk"/Steve Winstone/ Dave at Armorpax sorry if I forgot some one no offence I hope. It would not be the same hobby thats for sure thank you for pushing the limits for what is possible in 1/6 scale.

Some Nuts and bolts could also came handy as I took a early
decision that everything would be glued/and bolted on the vehicle
just to be sure it could handle some rough crosscountry rides.

Some off the early problems I encounter was
that the track teeth didn´t match the roadwheels.
reservhjul2.jpg

And that the rubber was so large it interfere with each other.
rigthsidefrontpairs.jpg

By coincidense I bumped in to a old freind off mine that had a
minilathe and I could borrow that for the entire project.

So I had to put the boys in work and they really got to it.

Some days later they where so proud off their work and they should. Only the rubber left to deal with.

Every bolt that dosen´t have a locknut is secured with locking compund so they wont come off going through ruff terrain.

Until next time keep you´r good work
coming all off you

Looking Great, I bet you are getting tired of all the nuts and bolts. But better safe than sorry down the way.

I like what you have done so far, adding bolts and removing the cast nut/bolt heads is always a good move, the PzIV is one of my favourites and I will follow this build

Some job I did on the Commander Cupola
