• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

    Ba-64 kit - build

Not to derail the other thread about the kit any further, decided it was time to start my own thread. Building this kit as much as stock as possible. I plan to run a wood frame under this one and use straight axles with no steering mechanism. Looking about 13.5” wheelbase. Front fender area is...

    German Torn Radios

Being bored while stuck inside under lock down, I decided to do some hobby related stuff. I've focused on other hobbies for many years and missed out on some releases from the good old days. Never gave up on 1/6 though. First is a Torn Fu D2 built almost entirely from styrene. Some details are...

    Marder IIIM...It's what I do

I've been away from the hobby for a while and haven't posted anything in years. Other things in life have taken priority and I lacked the passion to touch anything for quite some time. It's taken a couple years working on and off, but I am finally at a point where I'm about ready to apply...

    thegreatshaggy

I just sold something to Pete and since the Army brings him up my way I was able to meet in person for the exchange. We had a good chat about real life and the hobby. Everything went smooth, he's a real honest guy from my experience with him. Thanks dude! (Not sure if this belongs in with...

Indiana Jones - Col. Dovchenko by Hasbro?

I was able to grab a couple of these on sale at KBtoys. I'm just curious if there is anything useable in them? I know the movie took place post-WW2 but wondered if the uniform and cap might be period appropriate. I don't really know anything about Soviet uniforms, wartime or postwar. Any...

    Panzer LEHR

I did a similar figure years ago. It was very last minute for an MDFC thing and the figure was quickly broken down afterwards. I based mine off the Ron Volstad art. I'm not a fan of Mr. Andrew's stuff as he tends to have very large noses. It's just displeasing to look at and is very...

Dio - Recon Element of 21st Pz. vs. the Russian mud.

A small recon group from 21st Panzer division is patrolling on the Eastern front in March of 1945 when one of their vehicles gets stuck in the center of the only road into or out of a deserted village. The patrol consists of a Sd.Kfz. 222 armored car and a schwimmwagen. They are battling the...

    Steyr 1500 A/1

This is a new vehicle I'm working on. I've done the command car previously. Don't think that one was posted here but it is on the Sixth Division (Steyr 1500 A/2 Kommandeurwagen CLICK HERE) This is the regular troop truck version. So far I'm building it out of 3/16" and 1/4"...

    Simply Spray fabric paint?

Just curious if anyone has used this product before? http://www.simplyspray.com/ I saw it at the craft store the other day and noticed that it stayed soft on fabric. They had a camo kit that came with green, tan, and brown paints. I was thinking it might make those camo-to-tan pixie suit...

    trail buddy

This is a figure I've been working on for a little while. Still some things left to do. The climbing helmet is made from a 21st TUS ww2 German helmet cut down and rebuilt with sheet stock. I made it to look like what I thought would be cool. When I went to cut the vent holes I decided to...

    Big Thanks to JP Hobbies...

...for choosing me as the winner of their free figure contest for this year! Jason kindly gave me 6 free figures over that past six months with no charge to me whatsoever, not even shipping. I've purchased from him in the past and will continue to do so in the future. He's always been...

Many thanks heavygang for his generosity...

I am slowly building a squad of panzer-grenadiers (up to 7 men) and am even more slowly building them a pair of Armor Hobbies 250s to ride around in. I would like to thank Steve/heavygang for supplying me with a CD full of photos from his 250 build (wow!) that I am using as a reference and for...

    Heavygang's AH 250 Reference CD

Steve was kind enough to send me a CD containing detail pictures from his ultra-detailed Armor Hobbies 250 build. It is my understanding that he will be offering these for sale to the general public in the near future. You know, just in case others want to try to achieve similar results (yeah...

    Panzergrenadiers w/ Pak 36

These are some panzergrenadiers I've been working on alongside the recently release Gustav and Stansilas. The two DID figures are wearing Gustav's uniform and DML gear. I must say that these unis fit the DID figures much more realistically than they do the DML figure they were made for. I'm...

    camo'd Pak 36...

I recently got the DML Pak 36 kit from Toychest and Collectibles. Went together pretty easy though I wish I had glued the pins that hold the side folding panels up with the main folding panel after I had them hinged on. They aren't quite where they need to be and don't want to stay in the...

    Sd.Kfz.138/1 Grille Ausf K/M

This is a work in progress vehicle I'm working on as a commission. There are a dozen or so details left to finish off. It is built on the chassis from one of the prototype Marder III M kits I had done. There were some problems with these kits so I kept them for myself (heck, I paid for them...

    88 mm s.Pak 43/3 (L/71) gun and ammo??

I've learned that when it comes to German tank cannons and their ammunition I should never assume I know something without checking it first! I'm looking to add some ammo to my Jagdpanther. In regards to the gun I've found it to be the 88 mm s.Pak 43/3 L/71 (which means little to me so far)...

    my new summer project...Maultier

I've started on some resin parts for my next summer project. I'll let you folks guess what it is. Not a hard guess but just for kicks. Masters: 1st resin castings: 2nd casting in molds: They need to be cleaned up and I've got a few more of each to cast but it's a start...

    Free photo aging site

http://labs.wanokoto.jp/olds Someone posted this on the Axis History forum's reenacting section which I frequent. Thought it would be of good use to those of us without photoshop. It's pretty straight forward, you browse for then upload the pics and save them for later. It seems to do the...

BIG kitty! Jagdpanther (Lots of pics)

This is from the prototype run Mike P. and I had done a while back. It's taken me quite some time to get things going. I had a lot to correct since I made a few large mistakes. After a lot of work I've finally got something to show for it! Here she is in paint, well a basecoat anyway...
